My birthday is just about a week away, and I’m super excited. However, my speaking schedule is RIDICULOUS for the next few weeks, so I thought I would post early. Inspired by Katie, I decided to compile my 43 Love’s-of-my-Life List the minute I read hers (except hers was decidedly smaller than mine…being 26 and all.) Jesus, God, the Holy Spirit…they’re not on the list, they ARE the list. They are everything and so let that be assumed from the top.
- Steven Bradley Stern – love of my life.
- Dinner with friends – nothing better.
- Whitney Stern-Parnell – and just about every joke she’s ever made.
- The color red – it’s tasty.
- Josiah Steven Stern – I’m so glad God had him in mind, even when I didn’t.
- Cooking
- Food Network – seriously. I am a hardcore fan.
- Words
- Victoria Ashley – her name sounds so royal, doesn’t it? She’s the realest person I know.
- Almost everyone I’ve ever met who’s last name is Parnell.
- Pacific City. It’s Jesus’ vacation home.
- My mom and dad. There’s very little in life that I’m more proud of than Stan and Ellen.
- Coffee with cream
- The feel of a new book. Or an old one.
- Cheryl. My passionate and wonderful sister.
- Powdered sugar donuts. Not even kidding. They’re dreamy.
- Lists.
- The word hope
- The smell of Baby Magic bath soap
- Tess Abigail – especially talking, cooking or shopping with her.
- Shopping on Black Friday
- Lila – my other, taller, wonderful sister.
- Strong’s concordance (I have them stashed all over my home and office)
- London
- Corey – I can’t imagine a better choice for my daughter or our family.
- The idea of sending orphans to college
- Breakfast
- Africa
- Speaking at Emerge
- Farmer’s Market
- Quality time
- My best friend, Pam
- Big windows
- Early morning
- My sent-from-God assistant, Katie
- Our 24 nieces and nephews
- Thanksgiving (the holiday, not the attitude..though that’s good too!)
- Research
- My house
- A good day’s work
- A good day’s rest
- Mexico
- Autumn
Bo, Think how much fun it is to get older as our list of thanks becomes longer too! I love taking the time to really really focus on all of God’s gifts. Thanks for the reminder.
It cracks me up to know the sound of your voice and read your blog through your voice in my head, I know that sounds strange, but it creates a lot more expression and drama than words on the page. I enjoy the transparency in your life and your willingness to be a voice to the voiceless in our world. When you speak it makes an eternal impact.
